‘Verified Accounts’ feature in Twitter to be added soon

Soon, Twitter is going to launch a new feature into its accounts. Now, it will need you to verify if you are the real owner of that account or the name you are using. As they faced few problems as some people are using name of high post officials to tweet anything. And these officials filed a lawsuit against Twiiter.

Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter said that the company is working on to improve the quality of its customer service. And a part of that is a new veta version of Twitter which will include a feature known as ‘Verified Account’ with a special seal indicating that this account belongs to that person. The experiment will begin with “public officials, public agencies, famous artists, athletes, and other well-known individuals at risk of impersonation,” Stone wrote. He said the company hopes to subsequently verify more accounts, but verification will begin with a small set due to the resources required.

I hope they include the possibility that only the account owner can tweet from it’s account. I’m having a problem with twitter that someone else’s blog posts becomes my tweets. And there’s nothing I can do..
